Over the past few weeks, the South China Morning Post has been closely monitoring and evaluating the situation around COVID-19 to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our attendees, exhibitors and speakers. As a result, we have made the difficult but important decision to postpone the Kindergartens Festival 2020 to Saturday, June 20 at the JW Marriott, Hong Kong. Learn More
Having qualified as a speech and language therapist in the UK, Julie Giles joined the Child Development Centre (CDC) over twenty years ago. The CDC provides early intervention for children with special needs aged 0-6. In her current role as assistant director, programme development and learning, she combines her clinical role and experience with supporting the development of the Centre’s programmes and staff.
Ms Giles is proud of the CDC’s multidisciplinary approach to maximising children’s development with teachers, psychologists and therapists working together with the family. She believes that supporting and empowering the family is crucial to their child’s learning journey. She delivers the Triple P Positive Parenting programmes at the CDC both for families with typically-developing children and those with special needs.
